We have had an eventful January.
Kourtney's soccer team started their State Cup tournament play. After a big win 1-0 on Sat. 1/9, where Kourtney scored a left-footed "bender" with 10 min. to go in the game, she broke her collar bone on Sun. 1/10 playing down in Camus, WA and her team lost 0-1. Kourts is out for 6 weeks while it heals. We have the video of both incidents and it is hard to feel the excitement of her goal just to then watch the sadness of the injury. You need to be logged into your facebook account first when you click on this link. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/video/video.php?v=1107421826054&ref=mf .When her team makes it to the FINALS on 2/27 (after 3 more wins 1/30, 2/6 & 2/20) she should be ready to play :-) Go Arsenal! As for us parents, we are both working and trying to keep track of all the activities and carpools :-) We were all very excited to have my Dec. 29th PET scan be clear again -still NED - and I now start my next round of GM-CFS shot treatment on Friday 1/29 for 2 weeks. We also enjoyed the quick visit from our good friends Earle, Michelle (Hope & Eliza) Graham from Elmvale on their way back home from a Hawaii vacation. Last, there were a bunch of January birthdays to celebrate, Angie (Doug's sister) on 1/10, Keri's on 1/14 (celebrated by going to a nice dinner and a UW men's b-ball game with the Bryants) & Glenda's on 1/29.
We look forward to February: Alexa's 11th birthday on 2/12, going to the Olympics 2/18 (USA vs Norway -hockey), Doug's hockey Celebrity challenge game 2/27 & hopefully finishing up and winning State cup with a healed Kourtney.
Happy 2010!
-The Kirtons - Doug, Keri, Kourtney, Alexa & Buddy
